58 -- TR-339()/BQS SONAR TRANSDUCER, TR-340()/BQS SONAR TRANSDUCER, DT-633()/BQS SONAR HYDROPHONE SOL N66604-95-R-1448 POC Contact Carol Gorman, (203) 440-6155 or Catherine Discordia, Contracting Officer at (203) 440-6583 Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Detachment New London, intends to acquire TR-339( )/BQS and TR-340( )/BQS sonar transducers, and DT-633( )/BQS sonar hydrophones for the AN/BSY- 1(V) High Frequency Array (HFA). The acquisition will also include quantities for HFA Receive Cable Assemblies and Transmit Cable Assemblies. The functional baseline is the Critical Item Product Specification (CIPS) (classified Confidential) (U) for these transducers and hydrophones. The product baseline will be developed under this acquisition with special emphasis on reliability, producibility, repairability, and parts selection to reduce risk of obsolescence. First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT) will be required. Besides the FAAT quantities, the Government intends to buy 12 each TR-339( ), 12 each TR-340( ), 130 each DT-633( ), 36 each Transmit Cable Assembly, and 200 each Receive Cable Assembly in FY1995; and 5 to 25 each TR-339( ), 5 to 25 each TR-340( ), 70 to 219 each DT-633( ), 15 to 49 each Transmit Cable Assembly, and 100 to 299 each Receive Cable Assembly in FY 1996 and again in FY1997 (all option quantities). The contract will also have a line item for Engineering Services and a line item for Provision Item Ordering based on the approved parts lists. Inspection, acceptance and delivery will be at Origin. MIL-Q-9858A Quality Program Requirements. Facility for safeguarding and storing classified material is required. Contractors must submit address for receipt of classified material with CAGE Code, as well as address for unclassified, when requesting the solicitation. Type of contract is Firm-Fixed-Price.
