Purchasing Agent, Linda Queern, 703-648-7393 This is a notice of intent
to issue a delivery order against AT&T GSA Contract number
GS00K94AGS0409 for the following: Purchase, design, engineering,
installation, testing, cutover, training, and maintenance of a fully
digital, secure voice phone system, with an integrated voice store and
forward sub-system (Merlin Legend). Location will be in Denver, CO.
The system shall be able to handle the new North American Numbering
Plan as implemented on January 1st, 1995. The phone system shall be
able to accommodate a minimum of 100 stations and 24 OPX tie lines.
Dial-tone for the phone system will be provided by GSA from a NEAX
2400. The phone system shall be equipped with the following
configuration: minimum one year warranty, parts and labor; 15 2-Way,
Loop Start, Local Trunks; 2 analog station ports; 65 single-line
digital, Telephone Secure Group (TSG) Standard 4 approved tel sets,
with voice mail message waiting lamps, and user programmable feature
buttons; 1 TSG standard 4 approved, 24 to 40 button, digital tel sets
to be used as a receptionists set. Voice mail with Auto Attendant
feature and 4 port and 4 hours storage minimum; 1 System administrative
terminal; Vendor provided, on site, basic phone system & voicemail
training, and materials, on use of phone sets and features for all
phone users and basic system administration for designated personnel;
Full System Administration Training for two people, includes phone
system, voice mail and any other subsystems. The Contractor shall
provide on-call remedial and preventative maintenance services. The
Contractor shall respond to calls for remedial maintenance calls within
3 hours during normal working hours and 8 hours outside of normal
working hours. The Contractor shall use manufacturer trained and
certified technicians for installation and subsequent maintenance and
service of the phone system. The telephone system shall be installed
and fully operational no later than June 25, 1995. Operational life of
the system is expected to be a minimum of 7 years. Vendor's response
must include, but is not limited to, offered product's name, price
list, warranties, references, and any additional technical
documentation to enable the Geological Survey to conduct a technical
evaluation. All responses from responsible sources will be fully
considered. As a result of analyzing responses to synopsis of intent,
the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be
issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be
published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended
schedule vendor and those vendors who responded to this notice of
intent. No solicitation document exists. Vendors who believe that they
can meet the requirement must submit a written response within
