58 -- MODIFICATION TO EXISTING DATA TERMINAL CONTRACT SOL N00189-93-C-0082 DUE 050295 POC E J GRAMLING, CONTRACTING OFFICER, CODE 200AIR, 804/445-1240 The Government intends to conduct sole source negotiations with General Atronics Corporation (GAC) for the purpose of issuing a modification to existing fixed-price contract N00189-93-C-0082 to provide for modification to data terminals software to incorporate satellite delay modification which will provide for direct compatibility between the CP-2205(P)(V)/USQ-125 and satellite versions of the AN/WCS-3 that do not fully support synchronous RS-232 communications in the PSK mode of operation. This modification will provide a selectable 100ms delay for the DT which is needed when it is used with older AN/WSC-3s that do not support synchronous RS-232 communications in the PSK mode of operation. The Government does not have adequate data on the DTs to allow for competition of required modification since the DTs provided by GAC are basically non-developmental items which were developeed at GAC's expense.
