The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division plans to procure the following: A laser range finder head that is manually turnable from 2.7 micrometers to 2.8 micrometers. The laser range finder head must be suitable for making distance measurements from 10 feet to 500 feet when connected to suitable signal processing circuitry. The laser range finder head includes a Nd:YAG pumping laser, an Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO), detectors, optics, low noise transimpedence amplifiers, and a protective housing. The laser range finder head does not include any signal conditioning or signal processing beyond the low noise transimpedence amplifier. The contractor shall conduct acceptance testing at the contractor's facility in the presence of a Government observer. Complete specifications will be provided with the solicitation. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA 93555-6001 within 160 days after contract award.
