A -- DATABASES FOR ASSESSMENT OF OPERATIONAL TESTS AND TRAFFIC MODELS SOL RFP No., DTFH61-95-R-00125 DUE 072695 POC Contact Ms. Valentine Serafini, HCP-40D, (202) 366-4231 The objectives of this effort are : 1) To establish procedures and determine the data requirements for validating and calibrating traffic assignment, simulation, and optimization models, 2) to determine the availability of data from the operational tests and other sources that could be used to assess the costs and benefits of various ITS systems or services in addition to the calibration of traffic assignment, simulation, and optimization models, 3) to determine possible uses for other data generated by the operational tests and other sources and determine the best way to store such data, 4) to develop a comprehensive database for model validation, calibration, and assessment of ITS services, and 5) to validate and calibrate selected critical functions of the TRAF family of models. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FHWA.
