N -- DESIGN AND INSTALL SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR THE APPALACHIAN LABORATORY FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH, MORGANTOWN, WV Sol 95-04. Due 053095. Pre-Solicitation Notice: Provide all labor, materials and equipment to design and intall a fire protection system consisting of mains for wet and dry sprinkler systems. Branch lines will be part of future renovation work. This work will take place inside the existing H-Building, loated on CDC/NIOSH's campus in Morgantown, West Virginia. The H Building consists of two wings and a connector. The Lab Wing has three floors that total approximately 51,300 square feet and the two story Support Wing and Connector contain approximately 39,500 square feet. The work will consist of, but not be limited to, the supply and installation of the following elements: 1. Tie-in to line from existing fire and jockey pumps in adjacent L Building. 2. Dry pipe valve. 3. Air compressor. 4. Water gong. 5. Fire alarm horn. 6. Alarm and flow control valves. 7. Risers and standpipe connections. 8. The sprinkler main pipes. 9. Firstopping. 10. Electrical connections. 11. Hangers and supports and 12. Architectural patching to return areas to original condition prior to this work. Successful contractor must have a record of performing and scheduling at least three similar projects of comparable size, scope and complexity within the last two years. The estimated cost range of this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation (IFB) 95-04 will be available on or about April 28, 1995, for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 per bid set.
