USAID/Zimbabwe is soliciting expression of interest from qualified personnel to serve under a Personal Services Contract (PSC) as a Construction Supervisor for their new building. The contractor will provide architect and engineering advice and inspection to USAID/Zimbabwe for the design and construction of a new office building. The Construction Supervisor will liaise with the selected architect and engineering design firm on design criteria to be used in the design and construction of the new office building for USAID/Zimbabwe, review contract documents and advise management on technical matters regarding the design and construction of new office buildings. Construction Supervisor will inspect plans and materials and monitor daily progress. In addition to the above responsibilities, approximately 25% of the contractor's time may be devoted to monitoring the Commodity Import Program of the National Railways of Zimbabwe Project. This will include reviewing applications for CIPL Funds and heading up a committee to make recommendations for funding. A one year personal services contract is anticipated with an option to continue for a further year. Qualifications required is a BS Degree in Architecture or Engineering. Experience required is a minimum of 5 years as a Construction Inspector, Chief Inspector, Site Manager, Clerk of Works or Resident Engineer on commercial industrial or institutional building projects. USG building construction knowledge and USAID overseas contracting regulations and procurement regulations are required. (0108)
