Alter Bldg 49, Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas. Work involves the alteration of approximately 20,000 SF of a 24,820 SF single story brick building to house Air National Guard aircraft maintenance and communications shops and administrative areas. The project will provide structural, mechanical and electrical improvements, including widening existing door openings and new overhead doors; removal and construction of stud walls; installation of an X-ray room with lead shielding; installation of plumbing and bathroom fixtures; alteration of HVAC systems and installation of special equipment ventilation; and replacement of wall, ceiling and floor finishes. Specialty work will include installation of new monorails and hoists and installation of a new oil/water separator. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specs will be available on or about 1 May 1995. A ten dollar ($10) non-refundable deposit made payable to the U.s.
