Z -- PRESERVATION OF BLDG. 111, ARMY RESEARCH LABORATORY, WATERTOWN, MASSACHUSETTS SOL DACA33-95-B-0067 DUE 062795 POC Jerry Nunziato, 617-647-8424 The work consists of the exterior preservation of Bldg. 111 (Commander's Quarters) at the Army Research Lab, Watertown, MA. The Commander's Quarters was constructed in 1865 and was listed on the National Register of Historic places in 1976. The work required under this contract involves the stripping, repairing, and repainting of the wood doors, frames and window woodwork. The existing paint is assumed to be lead-based. The work also involves the installation of approximately 130 lf of new wood balustrades, 720 sf of 20-oz. copper roofing and 500 lf of 20-oz. copper gutters. The work also involves the stripping, repairing, and repainting of 11 fluted cast iron columns, capitals and lattice work. Estimated cost of the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Work shall be completed within 120 calendar days. Plans and specifications available on or about 052395 at a cost of $15.00 per set.
