59 -- UHF AND MF/HF DIRECTION FINDER/RECEIVER WITH ASSOCIATED ANTENNA AND CABLING SOL DTCG23-95-B-TEY25E POC Contact: Danelle M. Dyer, Ph: (202) 267-2518/Contracting Officer: Donna Toliver Grimes, Ph: (202) 267-2501 The Coast Guard has a requirement for First Article and Prototype Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) and Medium Frequency/High Frequency (MF/HF) Direction Finder/Receiver system (DF) with associated antenna, cabling, field spares kits, Manufacturer's Technical Manuals, Operator's Manual, Operator's Reference Card, First Article Test Report, Production Test Plan, and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System Reports. The DF is to be used in inter-service operations, with other Government agencies, and with the public. Minimum capability is as follows: (1) UHF-DF/Receiver (DF) with associated antenna and cabling shall be synthesized and shall operate from 225 to 406.1 MHz; (2) MF/HF DF/Receiver with associated antenna and cabling shall be synthesized and shall operate from .2 to 30 MHz; (3) DFs shall have the capability of scanning up to 25 preselected channels; (4) DFs shall have an accuracy of plus or minus 1 degrees for a signal with a Field Strength of 100 uV/m; (5) DFs shall have the ability to interface with Coast Guard shipboard gyro and navigational electronic equipment. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The requirement would be for a base quantity plus four option quantities. Delivery of total base quantity shall be within 360 calendar days from date of contract award. It is anticipated that the Invitation for Bids will be issued on or about May 24, 1995.
