66 -- ISCO SFX 3560 SUPERCRITICAL FLUID EXTRACTION APPARATUS SOL 52SBNB5C8668 DUE 051795 POC Stacy Bostjanick The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 USC 253(C)(1). The supplies and services required by the Agency are available from only one responsible source and no other supplier will satisfy the needs of the Agency. It is anticipated to negotiate with the sole manufacturer, ISCO, Inc. Lincoln, NE for a Pump Module with cooling jacket. The Pump module shall be compatible with the NIST owned ISCO 100D Syringe Pump and Pump Controller. The Pump Module shall also meet the following requirements: Fully automated SFE system for sequential unattended extraction of 1 to 24 samples under user-programmed control via built-in microprocessor controller, System must be equipped for programmable cryogenic liquid trapping of analytes from ambient temperature to at least -20 degrees C and collection pressure of 30 psi, System must include temperature programmable shielded coaxial restrictor with temperature range of ambient to 240 degrees C, System must allow static and dynamic extraction, temperature, pressure, and time programming for each sample, Syringe pump with at least 260 mL volume, pressure of 7,500 psi (500 atm) and flow rate of 1 muL to 90 mL/min, or at least 100 mL volume, pressure of 10,000 psi (700 atm) and flow rate of 0.1 muL to 25 mL/min, Programmable extraction temperature from ambient to at least 150 degrees C, Pressure-rated for 10,000 psi (700 atm), Programmable fluid line wash with CO Sub 2 or CO Sub 2 /modifier, Extraction vessels from 0.5 to 10 mL with fingertight caps, System must perform extractions using downward flow of supercritical solvent, Dynamic modifier addition programmable up to 10,000 psi and 0-50% v/v, System must provide full programmable control from front panel keypad for; extraction pressure, temperature, flow, time, and modifier addition, and Collection module must include removable analyte collection reel (24 samples and blank) with provision for collecting in vial sizes of 125 X 20 mm OD. The aforementioned manufacturer is the only known source of this product.-- Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement must provide adequate information to allow evaluation to provide the Pump Module. All of the above must be provided for the Government to consider whether to open this requirement for competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all ''compatibility statements'' received within 45 days after the date of this publication in the Commerce Business Daily will be considered by the Government.
