The AFFTC Flight Test System intends to procure Anthropomorphic Parachute Test Dummies. 1 ea. aerospace type 95 percentile female dummy, and 2 ea. CG type 95 percentile make dummies. The parachute test dummy is differentiated from the standard auto dummy in the torso pelvis, and legs area. The 2 aerospace dummies must be able to provide spinal column data loading provisions for mounting 6 axis femur load cells in the thoracic spine and in the pelvis below the lumbar spine. To handle ejection stresses the clavicles, clavicle links, neck brackets and knee should be manufactured of high tensile maganese bronze instead of aluminum. The 2 CG dummies should be based on a massive steel weldment. providing pivots for the neck, arms, legs and a steel torso with solid vinly head. Torso telemetry package housing at least 896 cubic inches. The forearms must angle in at approximately 45 degrees fore and saft axis when placed at a 90 degree angle to the upper arms. All dummies must be able to sit, stand, and have pedestrian pelvis construction allowing the dummy to be dressed in flight gear and to be manipulated into proper position in the aircraft cockpit. A requirement exists for 4 units total. Delivery date requirements are anticipated to be mid calendar year 1995. All with a 30 day bid period.
