Systems, 407-867-2717. This is not an IFB or RFP. No solicitation
exists and requests for a copy of a solicitation package will not be
considered. McDonnell Douglas Space Systems-KSC is seeking to identify
sources which can provide test equipment that can b used to monitor
and generate 125MB Taxi Data on 100/140 graded index multimode fiber.
The connection to the optical 100/140 graded index multimode fiber
shall be made with standard ST/PC connectors. The taxi monitor shall be
capable of recording taxi link information for up to 8 hours. The taxi
monitor shall provide a snap shot feature that is capable of recording
data prior to/after defined triggers on data patterns and errors. The
monitor shall provide an indication of taxi violations on the optical
link. The taxi monitor/generator shall provide the flexibility to
operate in either an 8, 9, or 10 bit format. The optical generator
shall provide the flexibility to generate under defined data patterns
for transmission on the optical link. The test equipment shall provide
a SCSI or equivalent interface for access to external mass storage.
The taxi monitor/generator shall provide the flexibility to be
controlled remotely via an RS-232/802.3 or equivalent interface. Verbal
responses will not be accepted. Interested sources should respond in
