VELEZ, (703) 806-4522, CONTRACTING OFFICER, AMY WENDELGASS,(703) 806-4475 The Directorate of Contracting intends to issue Solicitation DAHC35-95-B- 0024 for the purchase, shipping and installation of the following Modular Conference Room Furniture for Defense Systems Management College (DSMC) 9820 Belvoir Road, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060: The furniture system shall be a singular versatile unit that is part of a modular system. The units shall have the capability of attaching to each other, and may be arranged in a variety of configurations. The arrangement includes four modules. The first module, the Computer Workstation module, supports a computer processing unit (CPU) on a shelf. It includes an adjustable height (or''articulated'') slide-out keyboard and computer monitor elevation device that raises the monitor from the workstation top surface. The second module is the Document Camera Module. This module may be a variation of the Computer Workstation Module with modifications to accommodate a document projection device that shall also be mounted on an elevation device. The third module, the Corner Radius Module, is a quarter-round unit with space to stow a small computer (approximately 12''x12''x3'' high) and a mouse. The Corner Radius Module is used to complete the corners of some table configurations. There will be four of these modules-two with the top surface laminate light oak grain in one direction, two with the laminate grain in the other direction. The Computer Workstation Modules, the Document Camera Module, and the Corner Radius Modules shall all be mounted on swivel casters. The fourth unit, the Filler Table Module, has no support for a CPU. This unit serves much as a table leaf, and can be used to extend the interior of the overall group work surface for space, unity, and proximity reasons. Facilitator and support personnel requiring additional work space will be able to integrate the Filler Table Modules with the Computer Workstation Modules. The furniture modules have the capabilities to be arranged in seven possible configurations. The SIC code for this procurement is 2521.
