The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking sources that can provide (50% nonvolatile) sodium-sulfated castor oil to be used as an ingredient in water-based alkaline wiping solution for currency and postage stamp printing presses. A solicitation for this requirement will be issued in the near future. The sodium-sulfated castor oil is to be delivered in tank truck and drums to the BEP's Washington, D. C. facility. Interested companies which are capable of meeting this requirement are requested to submit a written request for a copy of this solicitation within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of this announcement. The written request must include a statement of the company's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). Telephone requests will not be honored. Those companies responding to this announcement will automatically be sent a copy of the solicitation; however, this requirement will be resynopsized prior to issuance.
