Officer, 919/541-3083. The Environmental Protection has a requirement
for ''Technical Support for Peer Review Meetings, Workshops, Document
Development, and Training Materials''. Peer reviews and analyses
conducted under this contract will be limited to scientific/technical
issues. Specific work assignments (projects) contemplated may include,
but are not limited to the following: A) Provide peer review services
using qualified scientists/experts who are recognized as national or
international experts on the subject matter to serve as peer reviewers
and panel members, and conduct the peer review process; B) Plan,
arrange, and conduct technical meetings, peer review meetings,
workshops, symposia, and training sessions on selected Agency science
topics and related issues; C) Prepare scientific and technical analyses
and reports, issue papers, and technical meeting publications; and D)
Develop instructional materials and conduct training seminars for
Agency personnel to facilitate interpretation and implementation of
Agency guidance on scientific issues. The assigned projects will
encompass potentially all scientific areas such as the quantitative
social sciences (economics), physical, chemical and biological
sciences, and will require highly competent and experienced technical
personnel in these areas. The results of these efforts are subject to
various levels of review within EPA, the Science Advisory Board, and
the public, and may require additional scientific and technical review
and development. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small
business. Potential offerors are hereby informed that at least 50% of
the effort must be performed by the prime contractor. SIC code is 8732.
