Officer. Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials and
performance of all operations necessary for the milling out and
replacing two (2) 67' wide sections of the existing asphaltic concrete
overlay west and east of centerline on the East Runway and the
associated returns at Taxiway 6-24 and Taxiway 12-30 at McConnell AFB,
KS. Also included in this project is the repair and preparaton of the
underlying 16 to 17 inch thick portland cement concrete pavement as
required to receive a new asphaltic concrete overlay, sawcut and seal
the new AC overlay above all the existing underlying PCC pavement
joints, groove the new asphaltic concrete overlay to replace and match
existing grooves and repainting all of the existing runway markings.
Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0019
is 25 May 95. Tentative opening date is 26 Jun 95. Performance period
will be 210 calendar days after notice to proceed. Standard
Classification Code is 1611. This action is beng considered for 100%
set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested
SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention
to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but
no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. This notification must
include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to
obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the
capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.
Complete information concerning management experience in similar work
and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate
interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be
issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore,
replies to this office are still requested from all interested business
concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project
requirements will be made available on or about 25 May 95. No telephone
requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bid sets must
be in writing. Please include your business size, phone number and
address in your written request. Written requests will be honored on a
``first come-first served'' basis. Various plan holding publishing
houses will have bid sets and a listing of all plan holders for
subcontracting opportunities. No requests for bid sets will be honored
