The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1541, General Contractors - Nonresidential, Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. The size standard is $17 million. This project will provide the Ordnance Department with a facility for loading, assembly and packout of line charges or other small energetic systems. The buildings to be used have been inactive for over a decade. Work will include: roof repairs, patching walls, installing conductive systems, and modifications to the existing lightning protection systems to bring them into compliance with current safety standards. Requests for plans and specifications may be mailed to the above address by identifying ''Plan Room'', First Floor - or request may be sent via facsimile by using fax # (202) 433-0939. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick-up a copy of the solicitation at Building 212 of the Washington Navy Yard, Plans Room, First Floor. The hours of operation for the Plans Room are 7:30 to 3:30 Monday through Friday. There will be no charge for the solicitation documents, however, there will only be one set issued per contractor. Requests for plans/specs and bidders lists should be made separately to avoid confusion at the plans office. This also applies to requests for numerous solicitations.
