The work includes creating a one-way fire wall design to permit existing wall to remain in place in the event of collapse of room on the office side of Building 1000. This work entails separation of existing roof truss and the addition of new expansion joint and new support columns adjacent to existing column line 11 running North-South along the existing fire wall. Removal of lead based paint on existing columns will be required. Columns and truss attached to Industrial side of Building 1000 shall be fireproofed. Fireproofing on columns in ocupied areas to be painted. Also provided shall be the construction of a new above-roof line masonry parapet wall. This wall shall be located above and follow the routing of the existing main firewal. Partial removal and replacement of new EPDM roofing shall be required along the new parapet wall along with installation of new roof and wall expansion or control joints and flashing, and incidental related work. The solicitation listed here is unrestricted, therefore bids from all business concerns (e.g, large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, etc.) will be considered. Estimated cost range: $500,000 - $1,000,000. Estimated duration of the contract is 180 calendar days for completion. (107)
