59 -- POSITIONING EQUIPMENT SOL N66604-95-R-1383 DUE 061595 POC Contact Elizabeth Alexander, Contracting Officer at (401) 841- 2442 X301 Synopsis #0226/95, published on 20 April 95 is hereby modified to read as follows: NUWC intends to solicit on a Brand Name or Equal basis for Orbit Advanced Technology positioning equipment. The following are the Government 's minimum specifications: 1.) One (1) ea. Elevation over Azimuth Positioner,( Model AL-4270-1) must be capable of outdoor use, vertical load: 200lb minimum, bending moment: 200 ft-lbs minimum, physical weight: 200 lb maximum, Azimuth Rotary Joint: coaxial to 18 Ghz, equipped with tachometer and limit switches, delivered torque: 150 ft-lbs minimum, synchro accurach : +/- 0.050 degrees, maximum backlash:0.1 degrees, and elevation travel: +/- 90 degrees. 2.) One (1) ea Position Controller with Power Control Unit (Model AL-4806-3A with Option 1): must have one out of six axes controller, simultaneous display of two axes, programmable via IEEE-488, manual or remote control, position interval accuracy: 0.001 degrees maximum, data take-off accuracy: 0.1 degrees maximum, built-in power control unit (PCU), PCU capable of driving both axes of specified positioner. 3.) One (1) ea. Rotary Joints for lower positioner (Model RJ18L): required operating frequency of DC to 18 GHZ. 4.) System Cabling: 25 feet in length, connetorized, weather proof, must provide interface between positioner and controller (power & limit, synchro and tachometer). A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. This procurement will be set-aside 100% for Small Business. The appropriate SIC Code is 3823/500 employees. See Note 1. (0111)
