66 -- DIRECT CULTURE MICROBIAL ANALYZER SOL C500270T1 POC Contact Point, Valen Wade, (513)366-2144, Contracting Officer, Lisa Bentley, (513)366-2041 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Risk Reduction Engineering Lab (RREL) has a need for a Direct Culture Microbial Analyzer. The original synopsis, issued 23 Feb 95, stated that this procurement would be made on the basis of sole source. The award will now be made on a competitive basis. Specifically, the analyzer shall be able to dilute and spread bacterially contaminated liquids onto a bacterial media in a plate and be able to cover three logs of dilution and achieve duplicates on the same plate. The analyzer shall also automatically count the colony forming units on the plate, calculate the dilutions and result in identifying the number of colony forming units per ml of contaminated liquid.
