312/353-2788. Requests for proposals for the Outreach and Screening of
youth in the State of Michigan will be available at the Preproposal
Conference on May 12, 1995. Currently the RFP is being revised to
reflect a new cost reimbursable type contract. It is anticipated these
revisions will be completed prior to the Preproposal Conference. RFPs
will be distributed at the Preproposal Conference. Job Corps is a
program which provides education, vocational, avocational and support
services to youth 16 through 24, in a residential setting. RFP
5-JC-961-26 is to meet the recruitment needs of 1,770 youth; 1,150
males and 620 females. Arrival goals will include males and females
enrollees, ethnic groups, including Hispanics and urban and rural
enrollees. In addition, any interested offeror should also plan for the
possibility that recruitment needs may be expanded to include the
States of Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota. It is
anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period November
1, 1995, through October 31, 1997, plus three unilateral Governmental
option years. This RFP will be available upon written request to our
address: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, 6th Floor, 230
South Dearborn, Chicago, Illinois 60604. Requests for RFPs must be
accompanied by two (2) self-addressed mailing labels. Proposals in
response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 p.m. noon local
time on Friday, June 16, 1995. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held
at 77 West Jackson Boulevard, Ralph Metcalfe Federal Office Building,
General Services Administration Conference Center Room 327, Chicago,
Illinois on Friday, May 12, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. Interested parties
should limit their attendance to no more than four (4) persons. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
