Administration for Children, Youth and Families is required to evaluate
the impact of the Head Start/Public School Early Childhood Transition
Demonstration Project. The evaluation is to (1) identify successful
strategies used, problems encountered and solutions found in program
implementation; (2) determine the effects of the demonstration on
children, families, the Head Start program, the public school system
and the community; and (3) assess the effectiveness of the transition
concept as a means for the children and families. The anticipated
period of performance is 33 months with a total of 3 phases broken down
as follows: Phase I - 12 months; Phase II - 12 months; and Phase III -
9 months. Interested parties should request RFP 105-95-1935. All

honored. The anticipated release date is May 18, 1995. All responsible
