Philadelphia, intends to procure seventy-nine (79) LICENSES FOR COMPUTERIZED CAREER AND ACADEMIC GUIDANCE SYSTEM SOFTWARE. The required software must be capable of being used with IBM-compatible computers using DOS 3.0 or higher. Delivery is required to the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Pensacola, FL by 01 October 1995. This software must contain the following National Databases: 2 and 4-year College Information; Professional and Graduate School Information, Vocational/Technical Schools, Armed Services Occupational Information; Civilian Occupational Information; Provision for on-line administration of an interest inventory, and for the input of data from interest inventories, self-rating of abilities, work experience, and job values taken off-line; life-career transitions; employment training; storage of individual user information, information on financial aid, and resume preparation. The contractor shall make available training materials such as in-service manuals, video tapes, telephone assistance for technical and content questions, career planning guidebooks, user manuals, posters, professional manuals, and installation instruction videotape. The academic guidance software and national databases are required to be updated at least yearly by the contractor. The software system must allow for storage of individual user information, hard copy of module summaries and total system-use summaries, and an on-line evaluation of the system. Customization of the system should include provision for local bulletin boards, local occupational information, and additional or modification of college majors. The contractor is required to provide training for all users of the software system. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered equally by FISC Norfolk, Det.
