The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Information technology Division, Major Acquisitions Branch, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406 intends to issue a sole source contract to BARR Systems, 4131 Northwest 28 Lane, Gainesville, FL 32606 for the purchase of 2 ea BARR PC/RJE W/LPR Print Option and W/IPX Print Option; 2 ea BARR Spool W/LPR Print option and W/IPX Print Option; 2 ea Print/370; 2 ea BARR Tape/6250; 2 ea BARR Print/TCP/IP; 2 ea BARR/SDLC for V.35 and 2 ea BARR/DPI-SD Data Products Interface. Deliver 1 ea of the above equipment to the following locations: (A) Walter Reed Army Medical Center Information Management Office, Building T-2, Room 175 1/2, 6825 16th Street, Washington, DC 20307-5001. (B) Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center Information Management Office, Building 603, Aurora, Colorado 80045-5000. The contractor shall provide a personal computer based solution for each location that has been evaluated and tested and can support the required Remote Job Entry function. The following critical requirements must be met: (1) The capability to connect and print to channel attached devices line, laser, and microfiche printers. (2) The capability to download/upload a file to/from a 9 track tape drive. All equipment must be delivered to each location. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price contract. All interested vendors must submit pricing information to DITCO, Major Acquisitions Branch, Scott AFB, IL 62225-5406 no later than 45 days from date of this announcement.
