Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) has a requirement to produce
guidelines for using or counteracting peer influence to reduce youthful
risk taking that applies to traffic safety issues. This project will
address the basic question safety practitioners feel leads to unsafe
and unhealthy driving behavior. ''How Well Do You Deal With Peer
Influence'' (in the context of highway safety). The anticipated period
of performance is 18 months. The solicitation will be mailed to those
organizations responding in writing to this announcement. The
