Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) will sponsor its
Annual Vital Issues Symposium on Tuesday, May 9, 1995, from 7:30 a.m.
to 7 p.m. in the Loy Henderson Auditorium at the U.S. Department of
State. The theme of this year's event is ``Geo-Political Impacts on C41
In the 21st Century''. Conference Chairman is Dr. Michael A. Berta,
Hughes Information Technology Corporation President. Conference
Co-Chairman is Lt. Gen. Albert J. Edmonds, USAF, Director, Defense
Information Systems Agency. The Vital Issues Symposium takes a high
level, in-depth look at C41 in the 21st Century and the geo-political
drivers that impact this dynamic and exciting environment. A Keynote
Speaker, a Luncheon Speaker, and a Speaker for the Warrior's
Perspective, as well as four panels comprised of nationally known
leaders and authorities in the subject matter will address key elements
and provide dialogue with the attendees. The four panels are: The New
Geo-Political Environment and Its Impact on Formulation of National
Security Strategy. Threat and Intelligence in the New World: Operations
Other Than War (OOTW) and the Impact on C41. C41 Acquistion Strategy
into the 21st Century. C41 Challenges for the Warrior in the 21st
Century. This Symposium will be held at the SECRET (NOFORN) level. All
attendees must possess a valid U.S. Government security clearance and
submit the necessary security registration information. In addition,
attendees from private industry must submit a need to know
