The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for demolition and replacement of an existing HVAC system throughout the building facility. Work under this project consists mainly of HVAC and electrical work. Contractor should be familiar with the installation of an HVAC system. There is also extensive work involving the modification to an existing kitchen that includes the addition of approximately 300 SF. Extensive electrical experience is required and work must conform with the National Electric Code. General contracting experience is needed to do finishing work in the existing dining hall area. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitations will be available on/or about 17 May 95, with an anticipted bid opening date on/or about 21 June 95. Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding as the prime contractor on the project, evidence of capability to perform including references for similar work with contract numbers, points of contact, and telephone numbers, and if appropriate a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. In addition, dollar amount of current construction bonding capability is required. The Contracting Officer will utilize the information received to make a decision to issue this solicitation as set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or as ``UNRESTRICTED'' without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable Small Business size standard including affiliates is no more than $17.0 average annual revenue for the previous three years.
