Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment required to replace water valves located at Launch CX-41, Cape Canaveral AS FL per Specification DBEH 95-2208 and Drawings PA 95-2208 for a complete and usable facility. Work consists of removing five (5) isolation and two (2) control valves, associated piping and accessories and installing six (6) new isolation and two (2) new control valves, associated piping and accessories in the valve pit. The valves, piping and accessories shall be complete and operable; remove and reinstall the existing roof and catwalk to facilitate replacement of the piping manifold and control valves; and provide and install all electrical equipment and devices as required by the specifications and drawings. Construction time is 63 days to include 10 nonaccess days, after Notice to Proceed. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 18 June 95. The applicable SIC code for this acquisition is 1711 and Small Business size standard is $7.0M. Estimate range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract is being considered for a total Small Diadvantaged Business setaside. Interested offerors must respond with a self certification of their SDB status within 15 days from date of notice. If responses are not received from two or more interested SDB concerns, an unrestricted solicitation will be issued without further notice.
