PC2R, (202) 433-0770. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk
Detachment Washington (FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of
the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Det (PESO), Annapolis, MD for a woodworking
dust collection system and it's installation for use on 23 wood working
machines. The system shall be designed and constructed in accordance
with the requirements of NFPA 91 and have duct systems for moving,
conveying or transporting stock, vapor or dust. The unit shall be
provided with a rotary airlock to allow controlled discharge into a
dumpster. The unit shall be capable of removing dust and wood chips
from not less than 23 fixed wood working tools. Hoods, ductwork and
hangers shall be supplied as necessary. The installation is to be
included, as is the removal of the existing dust collector and any
unusable parts, ductwork etc. Air piping and any electrical work in
accordance with local code shall be installed as necessary. Place of
performance is to be at U.S. Naval Station, Norfolk, VA. Proposals will
be evaluated based upon low price/technically acceptable. This proposed
contract is being considered as a 100 percent set-aside for small
business concerns, as defined by the clause 52.219-6 of the Federal
Acquisition Regulation. The interested small business should provide
the contracting office as early as possible, but not later than 15 days
after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the contract
and a positive statement of their eligibility as a small business (a
firm with 500 employees or less). A manufacturer or regular dealer
submitting an offer in its own name agrees to furnish, end items
manufactured or produced by small business concerns inside the United
States, its territories and possessions, the Commonwealth of Puerto
Rico, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or the District of
Columbia. If adequate response is not received from small business
concerns, the solicitation will instead be issued, without further
notice, as: Unrestricted. Therefore, replies to this notice are also
