Upgrade up to 20 Silicon Graphics Inc. 4D/30TG or 4D/35TG Personal Iris workstations to Silicon Graphics Indigo2 workstations equipped with a MIPS R4400 CPU and an Extreme Graphics subsystem. The workstations in combination with currently installed server workstations will be required to operate on an Ethernet network using TCP/IP protocols. All of the workstations must be capable of operating in a diskless configuration, booting and retrieving files from a customer supplied NFS server. The disks connected to existing workstations are to be retained and new disk drives are not to be included with the upgrade. All existing software licenses and binaries will be transferred from the existing workstations to the upgraded workstations. Any maintenance personnel must have or obtain a DOE ``L'' security clearance and provide the Buyer with a Certificate of Insurance prior to start of on-site work.
