Proko, (215)897-5675 Notification is hereby provided of the Government's intention to solicit on the basis of full and open competition for the RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF A FIRE RETARDANT DEGRADATION INDICATOR. The project involves the development of technology and demonstration of the feasibility of concepts for a degradation indicator which activates when flame-retardant properties of a garment have been compromised, with possible eventual delivery of indicator samples. The indicated R&D effort is to be performed for the Navy Clothing & Textile Research Facility in Natick, MA. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price and technical proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The Standard Industrial Classification number applicable to this procurement is 8731.
