Beveridge, Code SPN-26, (703) 607-0820. The Strategic Systems Programs
requires technical engineering and operational support services for
both currently deployed and future Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile
(SLBM) reentry systems. These services shall include, but are not
limited to: (1) performing studies and calculations to define normal,
accidental, and countermeasure environments, (2) assessing the ability
of these reentry systems to survive the above environments and to
quantify the effects on both reentry and weapon system effectiveness,
(3) participating in tasks which are intended to maintain the
industrial base and capabilities required to support aging reentry body
hardware, (4) supporting nuclear weapon safety efforts with respect to
accident related risks as well as radiation exposure, and (5)
supporting security classification management for the SLBM weapon
systems. RFP N00030-96-R-0021 will be issued on or about 15 May 1995
with an expected closing date 45 days after release of the RFP. The
period of performance will be for a term of one year with up to four
one-year option periods. All requests for the RFP must be in writing.
All offerors shall be cleared for work and information storage up to
