equipment and other services necessary to construct a new National
Guard medical armory, maintenance training building and a storage
building located at Grubbs-Kyle Training Center, Smyrna, Tennessee. The
medical armory shall consist of approximately 48,635 square feet with
34,174 square square feet on the first floor and 14,461 square feet on
the second floor. Construction of the building shall be concrete slab,
masonry walls with brick veneer and cut stone trim, structural steel
and steel joists, metal roof deck, metal roofing over pitched roof and
membrane roofing over flat areas, aluminum windows, metal doors and
frames with plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning,
electrical system and food service equipment. The roof system over the
assembly area shall be glued laminated beams and decking with
insulation and standing seam metal roofing. The interior finish for the
floors shall be vinyl composition tile with ceramic tile in the latrine
area and carpet and ceramic tile wainscot in the latrine areas. The
ceilings shall be acoustical tile. Work stations are to be provided in
the administration areas. The maintenance training building shall
consist of approximately 3,108 square feet. The construction shall be
concrete slab, masonry walls with brick veneer, metal roofing, metal
doors and frames with plumbing, heating, ventilating and electrical
system. The floors shall be exposed concrete and the wall concrete
block painted. The ceilings shall be exposed construction. The storage
building shall consist of approximately 2,000 square feet with
concrete slab, pre-engineered metal building and electrical system. The
site will require filling to raise the floor level and shall be
complete with utilities, landscaping, fencing, concrete and asphalt
paving and other site improvements. Performance time is 365 calendar
days. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and
$5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on or about
20 May 1995. A non-refundable certified check or money order is
required for the plans and specifications in the amount of $100.00 made
payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The solicitation will be
furnished at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available
for review at various plans houses within the state. This project is
