Battle Creek ANG plans to construct a new Fire Station. tHe work will consist of site work and utilities, asphalt and concrete pavements, concrete foundations, masonry and steel structure, and all electrical and mechanical systems. Contractor to furnish all plant, labor, materials, equipment and supervision for a complete and usable facility. The function of this planned facility is to service ground facilities and aircraft. This procurement is being considered for a 100% set aside for Small and Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. SDB concern must provide proof in writing that as the prime it can comply with the limitations on subcontracting; the general contractor must perform at least 15% of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Supervision cost is not considered when computing percentage. Interested (Prime) SDB concerns, should, as early as possible, but not later than 10 days after this publication, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing written notice to the contracting office which includes a positive statement of eligibility as a small, socially and economical disadvantaged business concern (SDB), specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude and complete information concerning experience in similar work (identify current or past government contracts including agency, contract number technical point of contact and phone number, contracting officer, and phone number), and financial status which includes bonding capability. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 1542. A small business is a concern including its affiliates having an average amount of sales or receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not in excess of $17 million dollars. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore replies are solicited from all business concerns. Solicitation will be issued o/a 15 May 95, bid opening date 30 days after issuance of solicitation, award o/a 30 days after bid opening. Project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
