US Army ARDEC is contemplating a modification to contract DAAA21-89-C-0111 with Bofors Weapons System Karlskoga, Sweden for an additional quantity of 6,162 Rounds of Ranger Anti-Armor Anti-Personnel Weapons System (RAAWS) ammunition. The types of ammunition and quantities are as follows: 84mm Heat Rounds (1,000), 84mm Illumination Round (1,000), 84mm Smoke Round (1,000); and 84mm Target Practice Rounds (3,162). The RAAWS is comprised of the 84mm Recoiless Rifle and a full family of ammunition, including the above listed items. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements based on the unique supplies available from only one source.
