The National Institutes of Health intends to procure a Diesel Tractor and accessories. The Tractor and accessories shall be furnished in accordance with the following specifications: 1. Shall be an articulating, four wheel drive tractor. 2. The tractor shall be designed for ice and snow removal from sidewalks. 3. Shall be a trackless tractor equipped with at least 6 ply 1000 x 15 winter tires and revolving safety lights. 4. Shall be equipped with a Cummings 4B3.9 diesel engine or equal, the horse power shall be approximately 76 BHP. 5. The tractor shall have Dana 60 axles or equal, with automatic limited slip differentials. Capacity shall be approximately 5900 lbs. (2676.24 kg) per axle. 6. Shall have direct shaft drive hydrostatic transmission, with twin disc clutch. 7. The tractor shall be equipped with a back-up alarm. 8. The tractor's overall width shall not exceed 50 inches (127 cm). Accessories shall include a 1/2 cubic yard sand/salt spreader and a ''V'' snow plow with at least a 1/2 inch x 6 inch hardened steel edge. Accessories shall be compatible with the tractor mentioned above. The proposed acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Descriptive literature must be furnished as part of the bid.
