41 -- PURCHASE OF (5) AIR FILTRATION SYSTEMS, (1) HEPA SYSTEM SOL Work Package No. SOL-RFP-3589-POS-CSS. MK Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for the supply of several types of process equipment to be used in the construction of a Chemical Stabilization/Solidification Plant (CSS). Interested qualified parties should have the ability to construct equipment in accordance with hard specifications and stringent quality control procedures. Following is a brief description of the general types of equipment anticipated to be required under these procurement actions: FILTER SYSTEMS (AIR): Require multiple (5) air filtration systems to perform primary separation and final filtration of discharge air from pneumatically conveyed cement and fly ash. Units to be installed in-line between pipeline and storage silo. Unit size to be compatible with normal truck transport unloading operations. Estimated value is over $225K. Require one HEPA Filtration System. Conditions of service is removal of particulates from 50 cfm air stream at 15 psig with discharge air reporting to stack to atmosphere. Unit to be a bag-in, bag-out system to reduce possibility of personnel contact with filtered particles. Package to include instrumentation to monitor pressure drop across filter medium. Estimated value is over $25K. Require one bag type vacuum system. Unit to be used to clean up spills of cement and fly ash at transportation truck unloading stations, unit to be sized to allow two hose station to operate at same time. Estimated value is over $10K (SIC 3569). It is anticipated that the proposal package for the above noted equipment will be issued for bid between May 1995 and January 1996. Only full proposals for the entire equipment package noted above will be solicited under this procurement. Abbreviated pre-proposals will not be accepted. It is anticipated that the type of award will be firm fixed price for this package. Suppliers interested in the above noted equipment package shall submit a letter of request indicating the package description for the bid package requested. Since this is a set-aside for small business, letters of request shall also include a statement verifying that the organization is a small business concern.
