The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division plans to procure Two (2) Transportable IRIG Wideband Group II Magnetic Recorder Reproducers. Following are general specifications: 1) The required unit shall be capable of recording and reproducing electronic signals recorded in the IRIG Wideband Group II format at a speed of 120 ips on any of its 28 channels. 2) The unit shall be supplied with 28 channels of record electronics and 2 channels of reproduce electronics. 3) The unit shall support 14 inch diameter tape reels; multiple tape speeds, ranging from 0.973 ips to 120 ips; operate from 120V/240V, 47-440 Hz; allow voice annotation record/reproduce on any channel; have a built-in calibration subsystem with auto test capability; and a built-in frequency mearurement/display subsystem. 4) The unit shall have a capsan servo system capable of maintaining a timebase error of at least 0.50 microseconds at 120 ips. 5) The unit shall have an RS-232/IEEE-488 control interface; a remote control unit; a rack mount kit with voice speakers; a vibration isolator kit; and a single point lifting eye bolt.
