59 -- TRIDENT DEEP OCEAN TRANSPONDERS. Sol N00030-95-Q-0065 due 052695. POC: Daniel K. Vola, SPN-P2, (703) 607-0820. The contractor shall: (1) manufacture, assemble, test, store and deliver seven (7) Position Velocity Deep Ocean Transponders (PVDOT), NT-061, main units (less battery packs); (2) manufacture, test, store and deliver seven (7) adjunct battery housings (less battery packs); (3) manufacture, test, store and deliver seven (7) PVDOT Motion Stabilization Fairing Kits; (4) manufacture, test, store and deliver seven (7) Type S-5 swivels. The anticipated contract will also include options for the following: (1) manufacture, assemble, test, store and deliver three (3) PVDOT, NT-061, main units (less battery packs); (2) manufacture, test, store and deliver three (3) PVDOT adjunct battery housings (less battery packs); (3) manufacture, test, store and deliver three (3) PVDOT Motion Stabilization Fairing Kits; (4) manufacture, test, store and deliver three (3) Type S-5 swivels; (4) refurbish sixty three (63) Air Launched Deep Ocean Transponders (ALDOTS). Sole source award is planned to Sonatech, Inc., Santa Barbara, CA as the only source known with the technical background, trained personnel, in-house logistics and test capability necessary to provide the required hardware.
