Sought. The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources that perform
updates, revision, corrections, consolidate and republish the Turbo
Power & Marine Shipboard Maintenance Manuals for the FT4A-2, FT4A-6,
FT4A-12 and GG4A-3 Gas Turbines, including free turbines i.a.w. Coast
Guard Specification Number 4331-D-086-177. The title of the
specification is FT4A Shipboard Operation and Maintenance Manual
Revisions. Upon completion of the manual the Shipboard Maintenance
Manual will become Coast Guard Technical Publication (TP) 3256.
Delivery of items will be F.O.B. Destination. All drafts and
preliminary copies shall be submitted for approval, prior to Final
copies being delivered. Quantity for the final is 55 each, with
additional copies of 10 each being listed as a contingency item. It is
the Government's belief that Turbo Power & Marine Systems, Inc. is the
only one that can supply these manuals since all the commercial
documents and the TP&M/PWA technical library contain proprietary
information. This contract requires the use of 12 commercial documents,
all of which were developed by United Technology Corporation/Pratt &
Whitney Aircraft/Turbo Power & Marine Systems, at Aircraft Road, P.O.
Box 611, Middletown, CT 06457. Other concerns having the expertise and
required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit
complete information discussing capabilities in duplicate within
fifteen (15) days for this announcement. No cost or pricing information
is required is required. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The
government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. This
notice is for informational purposes for minority, women owned and
disadvantage business enterprises only: The Department of
Transportation (DOT). Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000. For further information and applicable
