Wright-Patterson AFB requires long-life, resuable, aluminum containers. The containers shall be manufactured in accordance with the government furnished production level drawing package and specification. The containers' function is to transport and store one each, F-15 canopy. The container must be water vapor proof with controlled breathing over desiccant. Requirement includes 2 each first article containers and 98 each production containers. An option for an additional 50 containers shall also be included. Delivery shall be to Warner-Robbins AFB GA. This solicitation will be issued approx 95 May 11. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. No tel requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
