A -- PROCUREMENT OF A LOW TEMPERATURE TWO STAGE GIFFORD-MCMAHON CYCLE HELIUM CRYOCOOLER FOR THE ADVANCED LIGHTWEIGHT INFLUENCE SWEEP SYSTEM SOL N61533-95-R-0094 POC Barbara Boston (410)293-5272; Linda Jenista-Martin (410)293-5273. This is a Sole Source Procurement. The Annapolis Detachment, Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Balzers, 8 Sagamore Park Rd, Hudson, NH 03051-4914, to provide a Low Temperature Two Stage Gifford-McMahon Cycle Helium Cryocooler for the Adavnced Lightweight Influence Sweep System for laboratory investigation. The cryocooler shall have the ability to provide at least 1.5 Watts of cooling prower at 4.2 degrees Kelvin at the second stage of the crycooler and minimally 30 Watts of cooling at the 50 Kelvin first stage. The cryocooler shall be delivered with a helium compressor, a set of 10 foot flexlines, connection cables, and operating instructions. The closing date for this solicitation has not been determined, but the expected delivery date shall be on or before 30 July 1995.
