Aldridge, (215)897-5458 The FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to procure on an unrestricted basis time charter Tug Services for the Naval Weapons Station (WPNSTA) Earle, Colts Neck, NJ., for the period 1 Aug 95 through 31 Jul 96, with four, (4), twelve (12) month option periods. The tug shall be primarily employed at the Naval Weapons Station Earle pier complex in Raritan Bay, but shall also be used throughout the New York Harbor and approaches. The tug shall dock and undock various classes of ships, move ammunition and yard barges within and around the pier area in support of WPNSTA Earle and Naval Fleet activities, and provide services as needed to support WPNSTA Earle homeported ships and Ordnance Handling operations. In addition, the tug shall maintain a 24 hour a day fire and security watch at the WPNSTA pier. The tug shall be at least 90 feet in length, of sufficient Beam, with a Draft of 10-13 feet, be capable of a minimum of 3000 Shaft Horsepower, and be an Inspected Vessel Under Coast Guard Regulations. The tug shall have a minimum of 4 personnel on board when underway, one being a Tug Master. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. Solicitation N00140-95-R-2498 will be issued approximately 20 May 95 and close 30 days thereafter.
