Quotation (RFQ) for Multiconductor type ''E'' thermocouple cables --
Item 1, Multiconductor type ''E'' thermocouple cable, 36 pair
ThermoElectric P/N U-P/ALPTWK-36-20-EX or equal 1000 ft continuous
rolls (4000 ft. total), REQUIREMENTS: Solid 20 AWG thermocouple wire
that are twisted pair per channel at one twist every 1.5 - 2 inches, 36
pairs contained in cable with an overall shield that is made of 0.002
inch thick polyester backed aluminum tape with 25% overlap to provide
100% coverage when flexed -- 7 stranded uninsulated tinned copper drain
wire continuously in contact with shield -- 90 degree C flame retardant
PVC jacket with ANSI color coded -- Type ''E'' thermocouple wire with
+/- 4.0 degree F or +/- 0.75%, cable Quantity 4 ea -- Item 2,
Multiconductor type ''E'' thermocouple cable 12 pair, ThermoElectric
P/N U-P/ALPTWK-12-20-ex or equal 1000 ft continuous rolls (2000 ft.
total), REQUIREMENTS: Solid 20 AWG thermocouple wire that are twisted

being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT)
portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) -- If other
than the brand name identified is offered, then the offeror shall
indicate the manufacturer, brand, and model/part number offered and
provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the product
offered meets the brand name identified -- If the end product(s)
offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause
entitled ''Buy American Act -- Supplies,'' the offeror shall so state
and shall list the country of origin -- -- The offeror shall state in
their offer their size status for this procurement -- The SIC code and
the size standard for this procurement are 5051 and 500 employees
respectively -- Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted
in writing -- Transmission by facsimile to 205-544-9080 or by Internet
e-mail to kenneth.smith@msfc.nasa.gov is acceptable -- Quotations are
due 30 days after publication of this notice in the Commerce Business
Daily (CBD) to the address specified in Item 7 above to the attention
of Kenneth R. Smith/GP26-E -- Selection and award will be made on an
aggregate basis to the the lowest priced, technically acceptable
offeror -- Technical acceptability will be determined by information
submitted by the offeror providing a description in sufficient detail
to show that the product offered meets the Government's requirement --
The period of time expected for the Contracting Officer to
solicit/evaluate vendor quotes and issue the purchase order will be
approximately 30 days from receipt of quotes -- This procurement is a
