Assistance Division, Bldg. 301, Room B117, Gaithersburg, MD 20899 66 -- BROADBAND TI:SAPPHIRE RING/STANDING WAVE LASER SOL 52SBNB5C8729
DUE 061295 POC David L. Merrell (301) 975-6308, Pauline Mallgrave
(301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards & Technology has a
requirement for a broadband Ti:sapphire ring (convertible to
standing-wave) tunable laser, with optics which allow tuning through
the range 680-1100 nm. Must give 1.0 W output @ 700 nm in standing-wave
configuration with a 12-W argon-laser pump. This equipment will be
integrated into an existing luminescence and Raman spectroscopy system,
and used as a tunable excitation source. Equipment must allow for the
use of automated tuning mechanisms to achieve continuous,
computer-controlled scanning through the lasing range. Upgradeable
Characteristics: 1) Design must allow for conversion to dye laser using
commercially available accessories. 2) Equipment must be upgradeable to
an actively stabilized, scanning single-frequency ring Ti:sapphire and
dye laser with a 500 kHz rms linewidth. Requirement includes
installation and minimum 12 month warranty. Delivery required 6 weeks
from award, FOB Destination - Gaithersburg, MD. All responsible sources
may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. Requests
for the solicitation should be in writing. (0117) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0346 19950428\66-0009.SOL)
