Space and Missile Systems Center, Operational Contracting, Construction Division, is seeking interested sources for two (2) open-end contracts at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California in the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates and design services. A-E will be required to conduct extensive on-site investigations to obtain data. Work may consist of preparation of reports, studies, design criteria, for alterations, maintenance, report of minor construction, capability to provide architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil/structural engineering design. Selected firms must have capability to perform asbestos survey and testing, and the ability to develop designs for asbestos abatement components of assigned projects, if required. In addition, the firms should have general knowledge of or experience with environmental and safety regulations applicable to construction. Finally, Architect/Engineering firms to be considered, requirement emphasises must be different. Selected firms should be either (1) strongest in the Mechanical/Electrical areas with architectural capabilities second and (2) strongest in Architectual area with Mechanical/Electrical capabilities second. The initial requirements for design are (1) Replace HVAC System, Bldg 243 and (2) Replace Air Handlers, counters and ducts, Bldg 115, Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California. Firms desiring consideration must submit Standard Forms 254 & 255 within 30 calendar days after publication of this notice. Reference Request For Proposal F04693-95-R-0058. The area and radius of firms to be considered shall be located within fifty (50) miles of Los Angeles, California. Awarded A/E Design Contracts would be open-end for a Basic year with three (3) one year options. Multiple contracts may be awarded. Individual Delivery Orders may not exceed $299,000.00 and cumulative total of delivery orders for the contract year will not exceed $750,000.00. Proposed contracts are being considered for 100 percent set aside for small business concerns. Contracts to be Firm Fixed-Price. The estimated construction cost range for project No. (1) Bldg 243. is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00, and for No. (2) Bldg 115, is between $1,000.000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
