Notice to Subcontractors for a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide onsite chromium analyses using an ATX-100 Portable XRF at the N.W. Mauthe Superfund Site Remedial Action. An evaluation process will be used for selection of the subcontractor for the services to be performed at the N.W. Mauthe site at 725 S. Outagamie St., Appleton, Wisconsin. The Contractor is CH2M HILL and the project is funded by the U.S. EPA and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under U.S. EPA Contract No. 68-W8-0040. The onsite work is scheduled to begin June 12, 1995. The project includes analyzing for chromium in a variety of matrices and potentially in the presence of interferants. A detection limit of 50 mg/Kg is required. Up to 350 samples will be analyzed per week for up to 8 weeks. The operator must be NRC licensed to repair the instrument and must have at least 10 years of experience analyzing samples with the ATX-100 portable XRF. A request for proposal package with additional project information will be available on May 4, 1995. Proposals are due to CH2M HILL's office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by noon CST on May 19, 1995.
