The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of modification of the existing embankment dam to improve static stability, seepage conditions, and improve the hydrologic capacity of the dam and spillway. Modifications to the dam will include raising the dam crest approximately 3 feet, constructing a downstream stability/filter berm, riprapping the upstream slope, removing portions of the existing service spillway and outlet works pipes through the embankment, and plugging the remainder of these pipes. Spillway work will include widening and riprap lining of the existing right abutment auxiliary spillway for use as a service spillway. Work will also include improving the access trail to Sope Creek Dam and excavating reservoir sediment from Sope Creek Reservoir and nearby Island Ford Reservoir. (0117)
