Ramos, Contracting Officer, 904-882-5628. Presolicitation Notice. Asbestos Removal and Disposal, Eglin AFB FL (Requirements Contract). Bid opening date of 26 Apr 95 is only an estimated date. Provide all labor, materials, services, insurance, equipment, certified technical personnel and consultants necessary to complete asbestos abatement on an ''as required'' basis. Work will be located in various buildings at Eglin AFB including auxiliary fields, ranges, and test sites. Work locations will be identified in individual delivery orders issued against this contract. Contractor shall possess the State of Florida asbestos abatement contractor's license to perform this contract. Additionally, all contractor personnel (managers, supervisors and workers employed by the asbestos abatement firm) shall possess current and valid certificates of accreditation in asbestos abatement courses required to comply with all federal, state (Florida) and local regulations governing asbestos abatement work such as EPA/AHERA-approved accreditation course, NESHAPS regulations certification and basic refresher course accreditations. Utilization of any subcontractor personnel for performance of this contract is prohibited. Any onsite supervisor utilized for abatement work shall be on the certified payroll of the asbestos abatement firm. In addition to the certifications required for performance of this contract, all contractor employees who operate vehicles to transport asbestos materials shall have a Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material training endorsement. Contractor shall be expected to provide documentation before award to the Contracting Officer compliance certifications and qualifications as described herein and in Section L of the solicitation documents. Contract shall consist of Basic Year plus four One-Year options. Estimated dollar range for all five years is between $1M and $5M. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are small or small disadvantaged business. Solicitation packages are available for a $20.00 nonrefundable fee and must be requested in writing.
